What can Aesthetic and Cosmetic Insurance cover?

    Cover in relation to any financial loss caused to third parties by the Insured’s negligent act, error or omission during the provision of professional services.

What are the training requirements required to administer injectable treatments?

Enhance Insurance Services training requirements are outlined below:

1. Medical Background: Practitioners must have a medical background and be registered with their relevant governing body, ensuring they meet the necessary qualifications and standards for healthcare practice.

2. Training at a Medically Led Training Academy: Enhance Insurance Services prefers practitioners to receive training a medically led training academy. These academies typically offer comprehensive training programs tailored to healthcare professionals, ensuring high quality education and adherence to medical standards.

3. Combination of Practical and theoretical Training: The training course must include both practical and theoretical components Practical training allow practitioners to develop hands on skills in injection techniques, while theoretical training covers essential topics such as anatomy, physiology, product knowledge, safety protocols and legal considerations.

4. Certificate of Attendance and Completion: Upon successfully completing the training course, practitioners should be issued a certificate of attendance and completion. The certificate serves as evidence that the practitioner has undergone comprehensive training and is qualified to administer injectable treatments safely and effectively.

By ensuring that practitioners meet these training requirements, Enhance Insurance Services can maintain high standards of care and safety for patients, receiving injectable treatments, Additionally, it helps protect practitioners from potential liabilities by demonstrating their competency and adherence to professional standards.

What is our minimum premium?

Our minimum premium for non-invasive treatments such as Botulinum Toxin, Dermal Fillers, Chemical Peels, with a up to £45,000 turnover allowance begins at £453.60

Can I remote prescribe to patients?

Our policies do not extend to cover remote prescribing for aesthetics. For instance, Botulinum Toxin prescriptions necessitate a face-to-face assessment and consultation with the patient. This face-to-face interaction is crucial for ensuring patient safety, conducting a through cosmetic assessment, and obtaining informed consent.

As part of best practices, it’s imperative to document this assessment and consent in writing and maintain as part of the patient’s records. Additionally, in the event of any adverse reactions, prescribing should strictly adhere to the guidelines set forth by regulatory bodies.

Where can I perform treatments?

Our insurance policy covers practitioners to perform their treatments anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man , and the Channel Islands. This includes various clinical environments, such salons, clinics, and home clinics.

I do not have UK citizenship. Can I take out insurance with you?

Practitioners do not need to be a UK citizen to take out insurance with us. However, practitioners must be registered with their relevant governing body and be domiciled in the UK.

*The price quoted is based on our lowest premium offer for a qualified medical practitioner carrying out Band A treatments only insured with Beazley Furlonge Limited, and paying monthly using our premium finance option. Cover includes £5,000,000 Medical Malpractice Liability, £5,000,000 Professional Indemnity, £5,000,000, Public and General Liability, £1,000,000 Product Liability, and £5,000,0000, Libel and Slander insurance cover for a medical practitioner. The price includes insurance premium tax and credit charges. We do not charge any admin fees.
